I have been tasked with designing and developing a software solution for the Outpatient Rehabilitation Services department. I work independently and leverage my communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills on a daily basis to design a Windows desktop application that suits their business needs. I am also responsible for the development and deployment of the application. Edit: Halfway through the project, I was asked to learn and use Microsoft Power BI for their KPI and metrics dashboard. I designed a multi-page, user friendly Power BI project, and connected it to their database server. Technologies: WPF .Net Core 3.0 C#, XAML, MVVM SQL Server Database Microsoft Power BI Show less

At Mark's I was stationed in the Footwear and Industrial wear department. After proving my competency, I was given a lot of autonomy over how to best manage the area. While working at Mark's Work Wearhouse I developed my customer service and interpersonal skills much more than I thought was personally possible. The time I spent there was invaluable in developing a strong work ethic and personal resolve under stressful situations. I think it has been beneficial to have gained perspective into the pressures of a retail environment. This includes sales targets, maintaining a welcoming and helpful attitude under stress, assisting all customers to the best of my ability regardless of potential difficulties, etc. Show less

I worked as a co-op student in the PMC department at Agriculture Canada. Having gained invaluable real world laboratory and documentation experience, some of my responsibilities included: - Collected, stamped, and organized analytical data - Received, sorted and labelled both equipment and crop samples - Responsible for carrying out lab procedures in order to analyze crop residues - Preformed method development/validation and sample analysis - Participated in method and laboratory audits carried out by quality assurance personnel Having a chance to work for a year as a professional was an amazing experience. It has taught me so much, not only about the specific department I worked in, but as well as neighbouring departments. I spent time with other researches, and assisted with their projects on plant infecting viruses. In addition, I spent a considerable amount of time out on the farm, helping my colleagues apply pesticide and collect data according to the determined SOPs. This is just a short list of the training and practical experience I've obtained during my time at Agriculture Canada (PMC) and I'm very grateful I had that opportunity. Show less
