Costing o Owns the standard costing process – setting standard costs for new products, analyzing standard costs for existing products and determining the appropriateness of those standards. o Execute cost rolls. o Evaluate labor and overhead rates as set in the ERP system; propose adjustments as needed to reflect “true” product cost/profitability o Review Bill of Materials, Routers, Overhead Rates, throughput rates, and purchased raw material prices o Prepare product costing and profitability analysis. o Primary financial point of contact for the new product development process. Vet assumptions around product cost and model overall profitability of the product. Month end closing o Close inventory module in ERP o Support with applicable journal entries as needed o Reconciliation of all inventory balance sheet accounts Reporting & analytics o Strong working knowledge of P&L and balance sheet o Understand and explain manufacturing variances in the monthly P&L. Provide guidance for any operational changes needed to rectify variances. o Ensure variable costs do not exceed volume trends o Ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as needed by management.
