  New Zealand I worked with the mechanical engineering team on HVAC systems for projects such as new commercial offices, age care facilities, and health care facilities. Some of the tasks I completed were reviewing structural steel manufacturing drawings, interrogating building models to determine invert levels, airflow calculations, heat load calculations, modelling duct runs calculating fixture units and flow rates, designing zones and modelling them.

  Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand I was primarily involved in the commissioning of air and water systems, however, I also worked alongside the maintenance and engineering departments on various projects, providing me the chance to experience multiple facets of a project’s development. Some of these were mechanical engineering calculations for a design and build project, a functional description, seismic concept designs, air schematic drawings, and seismic tenders.
