I met Brian Layer, President of RL Leaders, at the 2-day RL Leaders + Brain Aneurysm Foundation Deep Applied Creativity Panel held on April 30-May 1, 2019 at the USC Institute for Creative Technologies in Playa del Rey, CA. Brian served as the moderator. I was a panelist. Brian is a genius in simultaneously encouraging individual thinking and team building. His leadership style creates an environment where thought leaders from different fields and expertise check their ego at the door, thereby enabling the panelists to collectively identify and assess complex challenges in a seemingly effortless way. In my experience, the unique insights and thoughtful discussion led to groundbreaking innovation. The workshop produced ideas which BAF will be able to implement and execute.

Nathaniel (Nate) Glover, PMP

Brian is an excellent senior military leader and experienced logistician; extremely well-versed and articulate.

Since 2006 much of Leaders work has focused on taking entertainment industry technologies, looking at them through a different lens and integrating them into stand alone national security solutions. Our thinking is simple - technologies developed by the entertainment industry are amazing and can have a great impact on national security you just need to know where to look and what to do with them. That’s where we come in - we know both Our approach is to bring challenge sets to the creative arts community and then to have them use their brilliance, along with subject matter experts, to conceptualize solutions. We have a network of hundreds of professionals who simply want to help and give back to the nation and other worthy efforts. We then scan the entertainment technology horizon looking for how to kludge the different entertainment technologies together for powerful solutions. Much of what we have done is not public due to the nature of the work.
