Bio

Brian was the kind of teacher who, 6 years later, I still call for career advice. He's the kind of guy, who's career advice has since lead me to seek him out for personal advice. He's the kind of guy who visited me on the east coast after the birth of my son, before my parents did. He's the kind of designer who's work inspires me, and who's writing style astonishes me. I am consistently blown away by the caliber of Brian, both as a person, and as a writer/designer.

After spending four years traversing the snowy mountain caps of Egypt rescuing puppies with someone, you really get to know that person. Thus, I know Brian Kerr. Upon returning to the United States, I decided to study graphic design under Kerr, a decision I am proud of on a daily basis. The man's ability to explain the fundamentals of design and encourage creativity through food-related metaphors are unmatched. He is ridiculously honest when it comes to design, a trait that is useful in educating, and fun as hell when discussing design over beers. Kerr remains a teacher every time I speak with him; always a well of knowledge and insight. He is an asset to any creative endeavor, whether it be education, design work, or figuring out a safe way to get six infant Dalmatians down a mountain-side.
