  For the last 25 years I've held the title of Construction Inspector. Along with that title comes various responsibilities. Live line switching, cable identification, duct bank installation, man-hole builds, trouble shooting, fiber optic installs, planned outage permits, storm restoration, over seeing splicing tasks and a host of other responsibilities needed to maintain a safe work environment. Prior to that title, I worked for years as a low voltage splicer. Then progressing to a high voltage splicer. I've participated in contract negotiations: I've been seated on a company, union joint safety council: been heavily involved in reducing switching errors: Seated currently on a standards committee: Most recently, I've been moved into the Training Department to help skill development for the various crafts associated with splicing in the underground.
