I had the pleasure of working with Brian Gong for over 5 years in the Avaya Channel Organization. Brian was instrumental to my success at the time. He provided timely and in depth knowledge of all things related to Avaya's extensive Communication Manager core architecture and software. He was very resourceful and always kept up to date on the material he managed. I would strongly recommend Brian to any Avaya business partner or any technology driven channel related business.

After recognizing a gap in Avaya’s high capacity gateway portfolio, I set up a cross-functional team to govern the process of introducing and integrating Avaya’s first and only SIP DS-3 gateway for the converged network and contact center markets. Despite an initial strategy to sell this gateway in the direct channel only, Brian was able to prove the value of the indirect channel and eventually was the sole responsible for reversing this decision. Brian owned and successfully led the introduction of this gateway into Avaya’s indirect (VARs and resellers) channels. Brian’s resourcefulness, diligence, channel understanding and strong marketing skills, transformed this channel to become the primary channel and selling over 50% of all gateways sold. Brian is the most effective channel and partner manager I had the pleasure of working with. Never deterred by any challenge and always ready to take additional responsibility.
