Brian and I were both accepted into the Udacity Grow with Google challenge course, in which several thousand winners out of tens of thousands would be awarded scholarships for Nano-Degrees custom built by Udacity and Google to train mid-level developers on cutting edge mobile web technologies. Without Brian, our game would have never been an online multiplayer game. Barely anyone in the group knew anything about phaser3, JavaScript (especially ES6), or websocket. Brian excelled in learning WebSocket, and brought us together to shoot fireballs at each other in real time on a web based browser game. Nice! Brian was relentless and talented from the start. Reading the code in his pull requests was always illuminating. Brian clearly understand object-oriented programming and why it is so powerful when implemented correctly. I feel very lucky to have been involved with such a talented and driven individual. Brian often could be found during webinars, weekly group meetings, and continues to be a great friend and teacher when it comes to programming. He also has a sweet mustache. Go Brian!
