Brian Freed is one of the most interesting people I have ever worked with. Notice that I used ‘people/person’ instead of Executive, while Brian is an Executive he used his skill as a person to cut through layers of bureaucracy to get things done. As head of operations at SGI I was constantly impressed by Brian’s willingness to negotiate solutions to problems or potential problems with me and my team rather than make an edict that would likely fail and then turn and point fingers. Brian is a big thinker that conceptualizes ways of doing business and then has the ability to implement these plans. His Strategy of the SGI UV300 was straight forward but required adherence to the milestones. Those milestones were hit and the project tracked better than any I have seen at SGI. If you are looking for someone that can lead at all levels….customers all the way to manufacturing…… and to do so with a positive attitude and great sense of humor Mr. Freed is your man.
