  Responsible for the planning, budgeting, design, development, and quality of three product categories: Racquet Sports, Diamond Sports, and Inflated Products that represented a peak of about $90 million in US sales. My responsibilities include both supervisory roles, selected project work, and close interaction with the marketing and procurement groups to assure successful and timely new product launches.Accomplishments • Key member of a team that developed and patented the Infusion basketball, which features a built in pump. The Infusion basketball was named a recreational product of the year by Popular Science in 2001. • Developed and patented a new composite / aluminum softball bat resulting in 1st year sales of over $1 million. • Developed and received a patent for an All Weather Football (XFL game ball) • Received 5 additional patents for softball bats and 8 for other inflated products.   Involved with development of tennis racquets, racquetball racquets, softball bats, and lacrosse sticks utilizing composite materials. Designed and developed over 30 racquetball and tennis racquets. Accomplishments • Developed and patented a new type of graphite / aluminum tennis racquet which currently comprises about 5% of the rackets sold. • Received 3 additional patents for racquetball racquets, 2 for tennis rackets, one for handballs, and one for a lacrosse stick.
