Brian is a highly skilled and experienced manager with a hands-on understanding of the software development process. His talent, positivity, and motivation make for a great working relationship with all those around him. What I appreciated most about Brian was his responsiveness and communication with teammates. He was always willing to take the time to help out with any problem areas or provide feedback, and was very open to receiving feedback as well. Brian also did a great job of helping his team succeed without micromanaging. He created a positive and supportive work environment where everyone felt comfortable sharing their ideas and feedback. I highly recommend Brian and feel that anyone should jump at the opportunity to have him as a manager or teammate.

Brian is a joy to work with. He is an extremely reliable and thoughtful manager and a brilliant programmer. We worked on a small team together, building a custom application for a femtech startup client. As the Engineering Manager on the project, he was involved in scoping and client communication and management, and responsible for reviewing code, pairing with and managing the other developers on the project, and would step in to write code if we fell behind schedule. Even with everything else he had going on, he would push out features quickly, and pretty much bug-free. I was immediately impressed at how easy it was to both work with and generally get along with Brian. He is professional and extremely knowledgeable, but also super friendly, easy-going, and ego-less. He is a fantastic team player, always wanting to do anything he can to help others. And I truly feel that everyone’s job would have been a little harder had he not been on the team. I was particularly inspired by the way he handled difficult conversations. I watched several times as he unhesitatingly engaged in hard or unpleasant discussions (whether it was with clients, developers, or other managers) with grace and tact, making them effective and productive talks. Any organization would be lucky to have Brian, in any capacity. He is hard-working, talented, kind and fun to have around. He was so loved and respected at the company that his nickname was St. Brian!
