I was Managing Director of Mackwell for 20 years, and initially we only manufactured emergency lighting products for supply as components to lighting manufacturers. At that time we had only electronics design capability and when we decided to manufacture complete products we needed an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the Development Group. We recruited Brian, and he did an excellent job. Working almost entirely on his own, he designed excellent products, and then supervised the manufacture of the tooling. He then assisted our Production Engineers in getting the product manufactured successfully. Brian is diligent, hard working, and self motivated. I endorse him without reservation. I had the pleasure of working with Brian for a number of years at Mackwell, Brian always carried out his tasks with great enthusiasm and professionalism. Brian found many ways of improving the solutions he was asked to work on when others simply accepted failure. If I had any positions available I would certainly offer them to Brian first as you do not come across many talented mechanical engineers like him often.
