  My responsibilities with MLB are to witness and authenticate team, player and MLB milestone items to ensure their authenticity and proper chain of custody. To insure memorabilia is a 100% genuine piece; a tamper-proof hologram; affixed to each item to identify its authenticity and a correlated bar code is scanned and sent to MLB. An authenticator maintains chain of custody of memorabilia and communication between team marketing, team equipment managers, and Major League Baseball.
