Assistant Pool Manager
-
Sep 2014 - May 2016
As Assistant Pool Manager there were a wide range of responsibilities that were expected of me. Patron and staff safety is top priority and so I was to help maintain safe swimming conditions and promote safety in accordance with the Lava Hot Springs Foundation policies and procedures. This included performing lifeguard duties when necessary, consistently applying safety rules, responding to emergencies, review, update and recommend changes to facility emergency action plans and procedures, and evaluation of lifeguards. Also ensuring that all staff, both lifeguards and office help, were up to date with their rescue skills, and facility policies and procedures, by leading regular in-service training, as well as instructing American Red Cross courses which include First Aid, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Lifeguard classes which includes being able to coach and develop potential employees and on how to properly perform rescue skills. Also assisting the Aquatics Program Director as needed, which includes scheduling staff, monitoring the facility for hazardous conditions, ensuring the facility and pools are clean, creating, or facilitating aquatic based programs, and keeping current and correct documentation, as well helping where ever help is needed, including Lead Guard, or working as a cashier, or other office position, and coaching staff. Whether receiving payments, resolving billing concerns, troubleshooting service issues, diagnosing hardware problems, or setting up new customers, my primary duty was to provide exceptional customer service. It was my focus to understand customer needs and direct them to the plan that best met their needs. I also helped manage nightly close procedures, inventory, and cash deposits.
