- Provide effective vision, direction and oversight of the various Outreach teams, programs and facilities.- Work closely with the Chief Program Officer to establish and implement goals and strategy for Outreach Department. - Represent the Mission with external constituency groups, which may include donors, the media, government officials, community/neighborhood associations, churches and private organizations, promoting the best possible care and advocacy for those we serve. - Build relationships and partnerships with local churches, schools, businesses and communities inviting them to enter into the fight to end homelessness, specifically through Outreach efforts.- Manage, support, facilitate and review the work of direct report(s) by equipping, encouraging and empowering in their specific areas of responsibilities, which includes regular one-one meetings, developing, implementing and maintaining career development plans and timely annual performance reviews.- Work closely with Chief Program Officer to develop and implement a running multi-year strategic plan for the department, which includes annual SMART goals, metrics management and budgeting.- Administrative duties will include monthly and annual reporting; managing department expenditures, and the oversight of staff scheduling.- Ensure that all department programs and activities operate consistently with the Mission’s mission statement, corporate goals and core values.- Work with the city and county to help provide coordinated efforts and partnerships where needed.- Provide morale building activities and culture among the Outreach Department team.- Provide direction in creating and implementing meaningful and productive roles in which volunteers may serve within the department.
