Responsible for interviewing and placement of staff, rostering the teams, remaining on-call for technical advice, as well as being directly involved in the faulting and maintenance work, as a qualified signalling engineer. After successfully running all three sites at once, the team has taken over the entire project, inclusive of six sites, two depots, and five stations• Successfully coordinating the fulfilment of key performance indicators (KPIs) set by the client, year in and year out without fail. These include thousands of preventive maintenance procedures and hundreds of corrective maintenance procedures all with minimal delay. • Led a wide variety of installations inclusive of crossing equipment pedestals, wigwags, signals, axle counters, AWS, TPWS, points, DIS boxes, cable running, wiring mods, terminating, jointing, megger testing, verification testing, fault finding, and signalling equipment recovery • Led fibre optic test teams testing fibre optic cables for WTS technology Achievement Highlights… • Held responsibility for testing fibre optic cables and terminations on the Liverpool Lime Street project, and training/mentoring the client’s team. Worked under a heavily compressed timescale and trained the client staff. The commission succeeded without failures relating to the fibre network • Acted as Installation Team Lead for the Highland Enhancement project (involving Bam Nuttal Civils, Babcock Rail, and Siemens). Worked to tight deadlines covering more than 50 route miles with works concentrated at Inverness, Nairn, Forres, Elgin and Keith signal boxes (Forres and Elgin being demolished, and control transferred to Inverness Signalling Centre).
