Since coming on board I’ve written hundreds of news releases as part of my initial job requirement. I’ve also taken on the responsibility, along with my counterparts in IT, of providing a new look and more information for the DNR website. This includes posting of releases to the site to more extensive web only projects like video production. I have worked closely with local and statewide media to implement a campaign to further the DNR brand name and promote hunting and fishing license sales. I’ve also written several scripts for the DNR/ETV show “SC Wildlife TV.” I’ve contracted for several stories for “SC Wildlife Magazine” to be published in upcoming editions. I’ve also been trained and have been posting work to the SC government portal “SC.gov” on behalf of DNR, which included video, stills as well as text. I’ve also been working extensively with photography to supplement any projects. I've also been instrumental in the building of online social networking for DNR via Facebook (over 14,000 fans as of Dec '10), Twitter and Youtube. Work examples on request.
