Responsible for the software development and architecture of a new embedded Linux device. This involved the creation and bring up of our own Linux distro through the Yocto Project tooling. Development of Modbus client/server through RS-232/485 serial communications and TCP/UDP IP communications. Additionally constructed a web based management and HMI through ReactJs, NodeJs, ExpressJ, SQLite3 and JWT. Our application code was Dockerized on the device to allow for easier remote management and upgrades as well as portability between Linux environments. Responsible for assisting in the development of SatSCADA the companies SaaS SCADA host. This involved working in legacy Java EE with efforts to migrate to a micro service Spring Boot architecture. I was instrumental in achieving a 5x performance increase through careful analysis of the database schema and application usage. Additionally, we have started to Dockerize our services as we migrate them to Spring Boot.
