Developed and implemented the revenue / cost strategy for in excess of 40 films annually, the equivalent of releasing 40 new products into the market place each year. Managed a sales team of 10 to implement sales strategies from 6-12 months out from release through to the end of each film's theatrical season. This included managing bookings of cinemas, logistics via a film services team, censorship approvals and appeals and box office reporting. Daily liaison with the marketing team to ensure sales and marketing strategies were implemented in a cohesive fashion. Marketing budgets were set in place as a result of setting sales forecasts. The fast paced environment required constant review of budgets and an ability to adapt and change direction, often within "minutes of release". Developed and managed outstanding relationships with both major and independent exhibitors, our customer base. Nurtured and managed relationships with chief production partners including Warner Bros, Lionsgate, The Weinstein Company and sales agents such as Film Nation, Sierra Affinity, Bloom and IM Global. Worked closely with Australian producers throughout the sales planning stage through to the completion of the theatrical release. Successfully negotiated major digital cinema contracts for Australia and New Zealand to allow for the smooth transition from 35 mm film to digital projection, saving Roadshow several million dollars over the term of the agreement. Reviewed in excess of 50 film projects annually in various stages of development, providing strategic direction and negotiations on 15-25 film projects annually. Relationship management together with negotiating skills resulted in a high success rate for Roadshow. Show less
