After thoroughly enjoying my time with Vincera I was particularly impressed when approached by WIN Technologies – another online gaming startup, to take on the role of their Systems Architect. I was once again able to exercise both my infrastructure and development skills, in building the business into what is now, a global multi-million pound company, employing more than 400 staff across 4 sites and hosting more than 250 servers and services in many more countries across the globe. I am a true digital and innovation evangelist, I love working at the cutting edge of technology and digital platforms, whilst working alongside creative and technical teams day to day to produce world-class solutions across all media platforms. Accomplishments • Managed global IT operations, involving capacity planning and developing strategy. • Responsible for the hardware, software, network and security architectures for major high-volume web sites as well as all office infrastructures at each site. • Designed and implemented scalable, secure and redundant global IP network, incorporating acceleration technologies resulting in fast, cost-efficient connectivity across all sites. • Managed diverse global infrastructure and development teams. • Managed multi-million pound annual IT budget. • Technical lead in multiple corporate acquisitions and mergers. • Designed and developed web infrastructure, handling hundreds of millions of unique visits per month. • Managed multiple global site migrations. • Enabled business to virtualize infrastructure, realizing massive cost savings. • Conducted regular and in-depth evaluation of new technologies, maintaining competitive business edge. • Architecture of numerous website optimization and usability initiatives. IT Operations Manager

Sep 2002 - Feb 2004
Vincera was my first introduction into working at a Startup. My infrastructure and development skills greatly accelerated the rate with which we could release products to market and deploy systems into production. Taking on the role of both the Infrastructure and Systems Architect, I learnt how well systems scale under high load and implemented numerous optimizations to decrease user wait times as well as adding extra functionality. During my tenure at Vincera, I built a number of operational processing systems (i.e. payment processing, affiliate programs, CRM, etc.) and as a result, the operation became extremely profitable. During this time, until the acquisition by another operator, I was the key Integration and Migration Engineer, which gave me good insight into how different businesses in the same vertical operate, both in a technical and operational capacity.
