Mapped the current state of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons ("MMIP") crisis. Researched historical developments that created vulnerabilities for and hostilities toward Indigenous persons. Studied current Federal Indian Policy, missing persons legislation and databases, and responses in Indian Country that complicate the resolution of the MMIP Crisis. Partnered with Nichusak, the Lenape Center's MMIP Working Group. Interviewed and worked closely with Judge Caroline LaPorte to understand various Indigenous viewpoints on violence against native women, girls, and two-spirit persons. Drafted report of findings.
