His ex-services background shone through in everything that he did/said, be it his unwavering belief in teamwork or advanced coaching skills, and he was well liked and respected by all as a result. His constant stream of sales kept my department busy throughout our time there, yet he would still find time to come down to the warehouse to catch up with my guys or thank them individually for getting a last minute order out. A huge gesture that went a long way! He knew the products down to the most minute detail, and combined with his ability to build rapport with people at all levels, it was easy to see why he was as successful as he was.
