Over a good number of years I’ve worked with Brett at Yarra Ranges Council, Emergency Management Victoria and now at ResilientCo. I’ve seen first hand the breadth of his experience and care for communities. Working alongside him as part of a team focussed on resilience and community means I continue to learn and get to do good things with good people. There’s no better feeling than enjoying work, being challenged, developing and testing new approaches to old problems, having a laugh and being supported in a balanced approach to life in general.

Brett is one of those leaders that stands out when looking back over my career so far. I was fortunate enough to work under Brett's leadership when he led Yarra Ranges Council's reform in how the organisation and it's communities prepare and respond to emergencies after the devastating Black Saturday Bushfires. Brett lives and breathes good leadership, best practice emergency management and community and organisational resilience
