Executive to the Joint Venture on Valley Transit Authority's (VTA) BART - Silicon Valley Extension- Phase 2, Contract Package 2 (CP2). This $3B+ Progressive Design Build (PDB) is being procured in a two stage format. Project will connect an approximate 5 mile subway (extension) and underground stations to the existing Berryessa Station. Executive to the Joint Venture on Crenshaw Corridor, Expo to LAX, 8.5 mile light rail project, $1.2 B. Collaborate with ownership and joint venture executives in interpretation and outlining solutions to project issues. Prior to Los Angeles assignment, assembled and calculated detailed estimates on a variety of underground and tunnel projects including hard rock TBM, drill and blast tunnels, EPBM and Slurry TBM tunnels which including various shaft and concrete lining operations/options. Implemented innovative methods in bid structure to allow joint venture comparison/reconciliation with greater efficiency. Implemented engineer training program to prepare field staff for designated assignments. Since joining estimating group, awarded over $4 Billion in contracts. Project Engineer, San Vicente to 2nd Aqueduct Pipeline, San Diego, CA Project consisted of 58,227 lf of tunnel with four points of access, three shafts and a portal. The project was segregated into 6 independent reaches of tunnel, based on geology. Excavation methods included a 138” diameter Robbins TBM, two 146” diameter digger shields manufactured by CTS, drill and blast, precast segments lined tunnel and NATM. Responsible in assisting entire staff in engineering, safety, management, and supervision. Provide excellent customer service to our client San Diego County Water Authority. Project Engineer, Detroit River Outfall No. 2, Detroit, MI Project consisted of a 30’ diameter shaft, 300 vft, two access shafts, six riser shafts and 6,200 lft of 21’ ID tunnel with precast segments. Staff includes a well-qualified group of people including senior and developing engineers teamed with innovative and communicative supervision. Team member in resolving issues at all levels of the project. TBM was supplied by CTS Model 630-9.2 consisting of a 284” diameter excavation. Show less
