Process Focal Point on a 2-man Process team for the Brownfield Modifications to the BP Amherstia Platform as part of the Cypre project. Responsible for development of project Process deliverables including P&IDs, datasheets, schedules, philosophies plus Checking and Approving (acting Lead Engineer). Performed various process evaluations including flare system assessments using HYSYS ‘Blowdown’ utility and FlareNet. Responsible Process engineer in FEED HAZOP / LOPA studies. Developed a revised scheme to improve the Chemical injection system reliability, praised by Client for study optimisation. Process Engineer providing support to Mariner E&C Contract. Part of a 2-man team performing a process study to assess the Crude Oil Cooler performance and specify a suitable replacement. Performed detailed exchanger sizing checks using HYSYS properties and PI data. Engaged Vendor and determined that a revised ‘high theta’ plate design would adequately improve heat transfer. Generated the replacement device Process Datasheet for purchase. Process focal point on the Mariner East Brownfield Modifications Study. Responsible for Process Input to the development of the brownfield modifications on the Mariner Platform. Role included working with Piping/Layouts to develop the tie-ins and producing Red Line Mark-up P&IDs, used as input to a Design Review. Input to study report and cost estimate. Senior Process Engineer working as part of a team on the Neptune Gjøa 3rd Stage Compressor Replacement Concept Study. Generated the HYSYS simulations reflective of platform modifications and subsequent gas plant optimisation/debottlenecking. Show less

Process focal point on the Sullom Voe Terminal Produce Water Rationalisation Project, in the execution phase. Responsible project kick-off, development of Process deliverables including P&IDs, datasheets. Arranged a HAZOP of the design and subsequent close-out activities. Worked as part of a 2-person team on the Sullom Voe Terminal Jetty 3 Return to Service Detailed Engineering Project. Became the Project Process Focal point for the project responsible for close-out of the HAZOP and SIL/LOPA and producing key Issued for Construction process deliverables. Arranged and hosted weekly meetings with the site SPAs and Process Engineering team to ensure effective HAZOP close-out and change management. I was highly praised by the client for my contributions to the project and accelerating the engineering design after taking over the project. Show less

Premier Oil - Solan (UK North Sea) - Produced Water Treatment Facilities Detailed DesignWorked offshore to support commissioning of the Solan platform west of Shetland. I was tasked with investigating a diesel discharge to sea. I was responsible for the technical input to the PON 1 submission to the UK government body (DECC). I gave recommendations to the Solan Process TA that the diesel mechanical isolation be upgraded to 'positive isolation' using spec. blinds to prevent future discharges occurring.Worked as a process engineer on E&P contract for Premier Solan Produced Water Treatment Facilities (PWTF) packages. Responsibilities included HAZOP attendance as the Project Process Engineer, engineering the mechanical isolation, ESD sectionalisation, line sizing, relief sizing and specification/sizing of blowdown facilities. I performed the flare impact assessment for the modifications to the platform using AspenTech Flare System Analyser (FlareNet) and produced the detailed design flare system impact report. Show less

Aker Solutions Front End Spectrum (Studies Group) - pre-FEED / FEED studies.ENGIE E&P Norge - Performed HYSYS modelling of Gjoa topside gas plant as part of a FEED study to reconfigure topsides for lower arrival pressure. Produced updated platform C&Es and created a datasheet for the specification of a new centrifugal compressor.Wintershall / ENGIE E&P Norge - Brown field checks of the impact of Vega over Gjoa of lowering the arrival pressure on the relief capacity. Achieved cost savings by showing that existing PSVs could be re-rated for lower pressure by performing sizing checks and probability analysis. Produced study report of findings.Wintershall / ENGIE E&P Norge - Produced SAFE charts as part of ISO 10418 analysis of proposed new entrant reception facilities on new module and attended HAZID for of Skarfjell over Gjoa FEED.ENGIE E&P Norge - Performed flare system impact analysis using FlareNet modelling to determine the impact of lowering the arrival pressure of the Gjoa arrival separator on the flare system. Provided input to a study report for the project. Show less
