  Bret's role as Approvals and Cultural Heritage Manager included obtaining and maintaining planning approvals and mining tenements for all Glencore's NSW sites, covering both underground and open cut. Bret implemented and managed statutory approval processes for sites and new projects, served on Glencore NSW corporate project governance committee as well as managing Aboriginal Cultural Heritage processes and relationships. Bret also revised the corporate closure planning standard to align with industry best practice guidelines, including the care-and-maintenance phase.
