Led JBU Library operations, including budgets, personnel, strategic planning, and assessment. Library personnel included 10 staff and 21 student assistants. During this time library building and online resource usage increased by 62%, and 40%, respectively. Total instruction sessions and total students reached also increased by 169% and 49.5%. Also initiated the creation of a liaison service, oversaw several facility and technology upgrades, started student outreach programming, expanded new student and faculty orientations, hired four new staff, developed new training for student workers, and launched partnerships with a variety of campus offices. Other initiatives included transitions to WorldCat Discovery and the Koha ILS, full implementation of ILLiad, a website redesign based on user input, elimination of student overdue fines, team-based design of a “Z” freshman orientation course, and creation of a faculty grant program to promote the classroom use of OER and library materials. Instructional Services Librarian

Coordinated the Library’s instructional program, created and taught a for-credit honors research course, personally delivered approximately 45 instruction sessions per year, helped staff the research help desk, developed online chat and texting reference services, and regularly taught courses in the adult degree completion program. Co-founded the Office of Undergraduate Scholarship & Prestigious Fellowships. Organized the annual Celebration of Academic Excellence to showcase student research and creative scholarship.
