  Landesa focuses on securing land rights for the worlds poorest and most vulnerable. It is a pseudo-law firm that accomplishes their mission through fee-for-service, consulting, desk and in-country research. • Tasked with researching and writing reports on country specific land law. Specifically wrote a report in conjunction with the Rockefeller Foundation on land related farmer rights on the maize and tomato value chains in Tanzania and Nigeria. I researched and reported on key rights issues such as women’s rights, access to credit, judicial accessibility and transparency, and youth rights. • Produced a policy brief on climate change related displacement in slow-onset disaster areas. The key rights issues in this brief was the impact of insecure land tenure on those displaced or left behind.



Liliir Eduction Project

  The Liliir Education Project (LEP) is a USA based nonprofit that works to improve education in South Sudan through university scholarships and secondary school building. Students are granted scholarships to attend universities in East Africa in a discipline of their choosing. The secondary school building is focused in Bor country, Jonglei, South Sudan. The LEP currently has 11 multidisciplinary university scholarship students in Kenya/Uganda, a service and leadership program, and has collected over $120,000 in funds for a secondary school. • Managed and directed leadership aspects of the organization including designing and implementing long term and short term strategic plans, raising over $150,000 in funds for a secondary school, managing board of directors, executing social media and marketing plan, managing yearly budget, managing fundraisers, community outreach, grant procurement and donor relationships, speaking at events, analyzing impact and building models to monitor impact, and overseeing on-the-ground logistics. • Tasked with monitoring and reporting on political changes, migration, and tribal conflict. • Managed secondary school building project in South Sudan with unique logistical challenges. • Managed all aspects of university student program. • Coordinated emergency humanitarian projects.
