Brent Davis is an exceptional man that I have had the pleasure of associating with for the past seven years. I have observed him from many perspectives as a customer, volunteer, employee and friend. He is the real deal and does whatever it takes to get the job done. In many ways Brent is a true renaissance man who takes a holistic approach to life as a business man, professional baritone opera singer, athlete, educator and administrator. Brent is a consummate professional, who possess a humble spirit, and commits himself fully to the tasks at hand. In my work with Brent he initially led as a volunteer then became the first, part time, director rebuilding the school’s Fine Arts department into a state championship program. He transformed the department from a performance focused student experience into a best-practices, skills development pedagogy, that provided the bedrock for student development in visual, instrumental, choral and performing arts. As the Director, he addressed the difficult issues to not only build and mold an exceptional staff but he engaged the volunteer leadership by dynamically reconciling the working relationships, which became the backbone to everyone striving together in transforming the department into a program of excellence. As an exceptionally committed leader, he identified and passed the baton on to his successor who became the first full-time director reaping the benefits of Brent’s sacrificial foundational work. To top it all off Brent is a tremendous family man as a son, brother, husband and father. Brent is a man of impact wherever he focuses his attention. He is a man of integrity and goes above and beyond as he strives for excellence in all things.
