  Prior to my sales managers role I held the position of Village Coordinator for 8 years, coordinating all areas of village functions. The job description comprised two parts. The first involved marketing Summerset and the sale of the next development stages numbering 60 villas. Responsibilities included writing & voicing radio commercials, writing newspaper advertisements and editorials and delivering presentations at sponsorship events and to groups. Facilitating construction and any client requested alterations was also a major component of sales. The first part made up over 80% of my time during construction until the village neared completion, two years ahead of schedule. The second part entailed coordinating maintenance and ground staff and ensuring company Health and Safety policies and systems requirements were met. In addition the auditing and compliance of service provision and legislation on the maintenance of grounds, dwellings and staff were my responsibility. My position also included demonstrating understanding when dealing with difficult or demanding situations involving residents and/or staff and negotiating a successful outcome. The position of Village Coordinator ceased when the role was broken up into 3 full time positions, one role entailing my present position of Sales Manager with the responsibility of marketing and sales.
