  On July 12th, 2005 I started a new career path in the crane and rigging industry as an oiler at Deep South Crane and Rigging. By August, I was then accepted into the Local Union Hall 406 apprenticeship program to become NCCCO certified equipment operator. Within three years I had accredited enough work and class hours to be able to take my NCCCO certification test. Over the last 10 years I’ve been afforded the opportunity and responsibility to build, operate, and maintain various types of cranes and equipment including forklifts, dirt equipment, semi-trucks, and other specialty equipment. During this time I’ve also gained a great amount of experience being operator as well as my time assisting as equipment yard supervisor. I’ve taken part in customer relations, customer service, project planning, project scheduling, equipment maintenance, interstate logistics/transportation, project quotes, as well as generating and administer crane specific tests.
