As a team we were responsible for the development and delivery of innovative programming to over 55 000 students and 100 000 members of the general public each year. Select Highlights Include: Member of the leadership team responsible for the creation of Crawford Lake’s Deer Clan Longhouse and village rejuvenation project; a $1.8 million undertaking. Coordinated partnerships and collaboration with with Indigenous communities; directed design and implementation for all exhibits and media. Coordinated the development and delivery of the visitor experience for Christmas Town and Maple Town – two popular programs utilizing the appeal of seasonal celebrations to generate enthusiasm for our natural heritage. Together these two programs attract more than 35 000 guests annually, which amounts to 35 000 opportunities to teach people to love our parks and the outdoors. Select Highlights Include: Received Conservation Halton staff award for Innovation and Achievement for the development of an artist in residence program called "Through the Eyes of an Artist" which partnered the park with local artists to result in art shows, donations of art to the park, and public workshops. Developed a signage series introducing park visitors to the ecological and cultural significance of the meromictic lake onsite. Created training opportunities for contract staff.
