  I starting babysitting to get some extra cash while going to college, turns out the woman whose kids I’d been babysitting owned her own company and after about a month asked me to come apply for her company. I had one interview and was hired to work with two gentleman (twins aged 22) who had cerebral palsy, the mental capacity of an 8-12 year olds, wheelchair dependent, and were deaf. I had to ensure they got medication, assisted in changing diapers, showers, taking them grocery shopping, and all day-to-day activities. I had 1 other person during the day with me, and I worked nights alone. They were short staffed so for a few month I was there all day, and all night, except for 4 hours where I would go to class then home to shower change and grab food and head back to work. But working 80+ hours a week was such good money that I never got to spend it was good for a little while. Working here made me realize if I was going to make this kind of money and enjoy it that I was going to need to make a serious life change (I joined the military). Show less
