Planning phase for the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics; Assist in the review of operational plans for competition venues including specific venue emergency management plans and procedures. Contributed and compiled development of Policies and Procedures which are program and/or venue specific Main operations control center visits Crisis management plan implementation Review of Operational Plans; Policies and Procedures to ensure the effective operations of the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics Screening for radioactive material during construction and prior to lock down as the Olympics were seen as a high risk event Training of G4S security, Military and voluntary staff; Assist in the facilitation of meaningful training and practical exercises to ensure G4S security, the military and volunteers are competent in their duties and responsibilities before and during the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympic games. During the operational phase of (games time), I undertook the role of a venue security manager for the Olympic village, vehicle search and pedestrian search areas. Pedestrian search areas screened more than 2.6 million persons and the vehicle search areas screened more than 10 000 vehicles pre and post the Olympics. Our team trained all security staff how to effectively use Rapid scan machines at vehicle search areas and pedestrian search areas and all actions on if any traces of nitrate were detected Our team trained all the security staff how to carry out vehicle searches and person searches. The security staff were trained in using two way radios, code words and also telescopic search cameras I was part of the test event planning team that started two years before the actual London Olympics taking place.
