    • Laboratory Technician
      • Jan 2020 - Present

Being the sole lab technician in the company, my primary responsibility is to test and analyze data from soil or rock samples we receive, which I then relay to our engineers or geotechnical and environmental divisions in the company. Once our lab receives a sample, I will then run an array of tests, which include, but are not limited to, compaction curves, moisture and density, plasticity index, corrosion, consolidations, sieve analysis, lime stability, and hydrometers. I then transfer the results into a specific program called Gint, which our engineers will review and then pass onto our clients, allowing them to use the data to develop a plan on how to proceed with construction on a new site. • Geotechnical Technician
      • Jun 2018 - Dec 2019

My first role at the company was a geotechnical technician. I would go to clients' construction sites throughout the day to oversee the construction services that were taking place that day. I would also run compaction tests to determine if that certain section of the construction site met our recommendations of density and moisture content. I would then have to write a daily field report for that particular site for our company then to review and then pass onto our clients.

    • Farm Hand
      • Feb 2017 - May 2018

My role as a farm hand entailed taking care of the farm’s livestock using sustainable practices on a daily basis. Tasks varied from moving the animals to fresh pasture, cleaning stalls if the animals were being housed in a barn, feeding animals, operating a skid steer to move grains and hay, milking cows, and harvesting chickens. I was also in charge of repairs and farm maintenance, such as monitoring the electrical fencing paddocks and water sources for animals. Lastly, I was also responsible for preparing food that I then delivered to local partners, such as grocery stores, co-ops, and farmer’s markets. Show less

      • Jul 2014 - Apr 2016

My primary responsibility as a sales representative was to go door-to-door and sell products for my assigned customer accounts. In this role, I strengthened my communication skills in order to sell product. Additionally, I learned the value of creativity and adaptability when working with different personalities. Every door/business was an opportunity for situational analysis on how to best appeal to each customer in order to sell the company's product. Lastly, being an independent contractor paid on commission, I became extremely efficient, learning how to optimize my time and gain sales. Show less
