To Whom It May Concern, During our time together at General Assembly's Software Engineering bootcamp, it was very apparent Brendon is a gifted engineer. He has an unparalleled work ethic, joyful personality, intuitive mind, is a quick learner, and above all else, is an extremely kind and helpful individual. I noticed these qualities swiftly when we collaborated on homework and our Streamify project. I now consider Brendon a lifelong friend now and he truly cares about you beneath the surface and he really exemplified this time and time again throughout the bootcamp. I saw him help not only myself but many of our classmates as well, with various projects, homework, classwork, concepts, and everything in between. Brendon's sharp mind cannot be understated. He grasped code, concepts, ideas, and frameworks extremely quickly and was able to re-explain it to us in great stride. He also implemented these in his homework and projects where he went above and beyond as always. He then would take another step further and would self-learn languages that were not taught in our curriculum like Java and implemented that, for example, in his capstone project. It was an immense pleasure getting to work with and know Brendon on a personal level. Brendon is one of the hardest working and fastest learners I have ever meet. Both Brendon and I have worked together for the past 4.5 months through the General Assembly's Software Engineering Immersive program where we both collaborated on projects and helped each other on other projects for our coding bootcamp. Brendon is very impressive with how quick he learns complex concepts and taught himself new concepts outside of our curriculum fearlessly going above and beyond like with Spring and Java. Brendon shows the impact of his leadership skills by building a community within our cohort that works together, helps each other through debugging and teaches each other new concepts in practical application. And Brendon would always made time for each individual person in our cohort and even now when he checks in on others post-bootcamp. Through all of this, Brendon remains to have a positive energy that others feel empowered and emboldened.
