Brenda Whetstone is a most remarkable human. The patience and respect she gives everyone is beautiful. When thinking of folks that are the personification of "someone you can count on"---Brenda is right there among the top. She is exemplary as a teacher and as a manager. I have so appreciated working with her on our Bessie's Hope/Regis University Healthcare Service Learning partnership. Thank you Brenda!!!!!

Brenda Whetstone is one of the most gifted, strategically-minded and forthright volunteer experts with whom I have ever worked. It was Brenda who brought me into the orbit of Metro Volunteers when she introduced me to the Project Leadership Program here. Her service as an AmeriCorps Member created dozens of new community leaders and impacted over 10,000 clients during her term of service. Once she 'graduated,' Metro Volunteers was lucky to retain Brenda to provide project management and liaison services to our Corporate Members seeking to engage their employees during Days of Service and Managed Service Projects. Among her many accomplishments during the past two years were training nearly 100 volunteer leaders from Xcel Energy; planning, scoping and supplying projects that engaged over nearly 500 volunteers from Kaiser Permanente during their annual MLK Day of Service; and creating smart, innovative and impactful projects for the VISA corporation year-round. With her help, Metro Volunteers has engaged nearly 2,000 employee volunteers annually, creating enormous positive impact on the nonprofit sector. Brenda has exactly the right combination to plan volunteer projects: an analytical mind like a steel trap, and an equal compassion for volunteers and the difference they make serving the human needs of our community. She is articulate, confident, honorable and effective in every endeavor I've seen her attempt. Brenda is a truly talented professional.
