I prepared and organized workouts and actively participated in all phases of the training process for every area of cross country and track. Recruited athletes from different sports, created budgets, ordered uniforms for both sports, ordered equipment like javelins for the first time in school history, planned trips to races in a different state, hosted charity 5ks and home races, taught technique, worked on recovery of injuries, and worked on nutrition and diet control. Communication was also key for parents and the athletic department as I helped clear athletes in compliance with the AIA. In doing so, we have also sent the first teams in school history to state in cross country and track. I also had the first athlete in the history of the cross country program sign a letter of intent. Finally, I have implemented summer running/weights program and created a running camp in Flagstaff. Show less
