Currently working as a 4th Engineer onboard the M/V Oceanex Sanderling.I have recent refit/dry-dock experience with oceanex. This took place in Damen Shipyards located in Amsterdam. During this dry-dock, the ship underwent many full overhauls, and steel work. These included: full overhauls of main engine units, full overhauls of the main engine exhaust manifold, full overhaul and refit of the reduction gears and main engine clutches, various steel work, and sea trials.My Duties at Oceanex include;Proper Watchkeeping, as well as house keeping of Engine Room & Machinery while sailing and while in port.Perform, and assist with; planned and unplanned maintenance of Main, auxiliary and ancillary machinery.Proper use of Lockout & Tag out, conforming to Fleet safety management, proper use of safe work & hot work permits, as well as general safe work practices.Using shipboard planned maintenance software such as; AMOSMonitoring and maintenance of Shipboard seawater, oil, and lubricant systems filtration equipment.Assist with Planning/Receiving Fuel oil & Lube oil bunkers.Shipboard welding repairs, fabricating and machining when applicable. Starting up, Shutting down and safe continuous operation of Main, Auxiliary, and Ancillary machinery.Reporting near misses, HSEQ non conformities, and assisting in injury prevention. Show less
