Student Financial Aid Counselor
-
Feb 1999 - May 2006
Beginning as a loan counselor, I awarded loans and consulted with students and families about the financial aid process which included the application, verification, borrower responsibilities, as well as satisfactory academic progress. I created operational procedures and served as the subject matter expert across the campus and area high schools. Towards the end of my seven years at UGA, I worked with students to develop a campus-wide peer financial counseling program that focused on increasing students’ financial knowledge.
