Troop A Captain of Field Services. Troop A area has about 850,000 people in an area of 5 counties. It is the smallest troop area, but the most populated of all troop areas in the state. Primarily responsible for the leadership and command of 43 uniform Troopers and 8 Civilian staff to address public safety, crash reduction, safety education, crime reduction in their areas. Coach and mentor those that want to be promoted or enter into a specialty division. Provide a great customer service for those that come to the Troop Area Office for fingerprints.
