I first met Brenda when we both ran retail shops in the historic Gilman Village, Issaquah. I was able to see Brenda in action and have become a believer. She is spectacular. Just a few of the many boxes she is checking: Passion and drive. Check. Trustworthy. Check. Excellent leadership and people skills. Check. Always delivers results with the company’s best interest in mind. Check. Skilled and creative marketing maven. (Not the same old, same old). Check. Exceptional retail developer. Check. A true and respected community champion and unifier. Check. Energy, positive attitude and good sass. Check. Brenda is the ultimate pro, clearly comfortable with stepping into any organization and quickly grasp what needs to get done. She always delivers way beyond expectations. She is a tremendous asset to any company. (On top of that she is fun to hang with!). 5 stars all around.

Recology is a local waste hauler who had a vision to be the first company in the industry to create a walk-in customer service center with retail, recycling and waste reduction services promoting their waste zero mission. I was given the challenge of developing the flagship store located in Issaquah, WA. This store has come a valuable resource to the city and community. In 2015 we opened two additional locations to serve the Burien and Bothell communities. Local residents now have a place to bring hard to recycle items including bikes, computers and accessories, batteries, Styrofoam, CFL light bulbs and more. The store staff educates customers on waste reduction tips and provides a wide range of eco-friendly products and gifts. The Issaquah store was nominated for best gift store in Issaquah and has been featured on Evening Magazine and KOMO News.
