In a small company one holds many different roles and can often wear more than one hat. I am the front desk/receptionist at a wholesale interior store that is open to the public. I'm responsible for answering the phones as well as greeting guests who enter the store. I also assist with shipping of materials that need to be delivered to customers or are scheduled to go out with installers. On the receiving end of materials I am responsible for locating the appropriate materials, matching it with the purchase order and logging the inventory in our proprietary computer program. Lastly, I assist with accounting and AR/AP through reconciling orders, processing credits, cross-referencing statements and cash flow management. Show less

    • Customer Service Manager
      • Aug 2013 - Apr 2015

I acted as the liaison between franchises and our corporate office to ensure that our company (and those who operated under the name) run as a well-oiled machine. This meant promptly answering phone calls and emails, contacting companies that we contract with and handling all scheduling. I was also responsible for managing customer accounts and client relationships as the front line of customer service and support. I assisted with accounts receivable, invoicing and managing of general office duties. The last aspect of my previous position is that I provided administrative support to our regional director, office manager, and operations manger. Show less

I was responsible for maintaining the safety and security of our residents as the "gate keeper" at the front desk. I answered a multi-phone line system, directed family and friends to their loved ones, as well as maintained a positive first impression for Cristwood Nursing and Rehabilitation. At the front desk I was also responsible for the upkeep of our gift store that provided food, drinks, and gifts for our residents and visitors. This meant running a cash register and monitoring item inventory. I handled residential "trust" accounts by keeping balanced spread sheets of money deposited and spent throughout the course of a resident's stay at our facility. As a unit clerk I provided aid and assistance as nursing support for the various residential wings in our facility. I acted as an additional set of hands in the dining room and answered the unit phones to direct calls to the appropriate nurses. I was responsible for managing and compiling medical charts, scheduling doctor's appointments, admitting and discharging residents as well as serving any general needs of our nursing staff, residents, and family members.
