Ensure production ran smoothly and recorded which shots would be best to use as a script supervisor. In post-production, I pieced the clips together to help tell the story in a compelling and interesting way using either AVID or Premiere Pro software. I also operated cameras during live events and shows, both hands-on the camera as well as remote-controlled cameras. I also spent time learning how to color grade and color grade using Davinci 12.5 Ensure production ran smoothly and recorded which shots would be best to use as a script supervisor. A colleague of mine came to me and asked me to be a part of his crew for a short film he wanted to do. I helped with the planning and script, scouted for locations, prepared props and food for the day of filming, worked closely with our actress to make sure her needs were met, and colored and stylized the film after editing. As video director for Latter-day Profiles, I met with our faculty mentor and discussed what the upcoming season for the show still needed and planned when deadlines would be. I and my assistant director then take the raw footage of each interview and edit it together, creating a version for BYUtv, a radio version, a social media promo, and a rough version for transcription. I also was part of production and typically ran one of the cameras on set. I also was a director and assistant director on many other projects, wherever I could be of use in any part of the video production process. Show less
