Even if she wasn't my wife, Brandy would be the person 1st on my list in thinking of a therapist to care for young women with anxiety, perfectionism, and generally searching their purpose in life.

People came to Peachford for a variety of reasons ranging from severe psychotic episodes with delusions and/or hallucinations, the desperation of suicide attempts, a profound need to detox from drug/alcohol addiction, and many other overwhelming mental health problems. I communicated with staff at all levels: nurses, janitors, psychiatrists, internists, insurance utilization reviewers, mental health assistants, and management. Each day began with a team meeting in order to effectively plan for the patients under our care. The day was then filled with interacting with patients from a variety of backgrounds by performing psycho-social assessments, leading psycho-educational groups, process groups, and family therapy sessions.

I am fortunate to be able to say that I was a part of launching the female program at The Hero House, a sober living facility for college students. I provided a safe, supportive, and substance free environment for students in recovery who wish to maintain long term sobriety, continue their education, and learn the skills necessary to be positive and productive members of society.
