  Just a few examples of very big projects I have completed while working for PepkorIT. I set-up file ingestion into BQ(Big Query) cloud inorder for us to ingest the data. I then went on to build all the tables/views for our raw datasets. I then continued to create persisted tables/views to bring down the cost of the SQL queries I built. I then took all that data after persisting it and put it into a data studio report in order for business to make sense of the data. I set-up all the filters and calculations within the report in order for the company to make the big decisions. It started off with just one report being the request but business was so happy with performance and the functionality you could have because of it being in the cloud that they requested me to build another 4 reports. Each report consisted of about 30 pages to 70 Pages. All this was for a project for RLC ( PWC collects all the info from a few retail companies(Info of companies are hidden by PWC) and then sends it back to the companies so that the companies can see how much of the market they have in different classes of retail. I streamed data into BQ and then created a query to join budgets and sales to see the performance of the different branches. The company then used that data to compare the different branches and give where necessary performance bonuses. I was one of few in my team who helped to create a new environment in Google cloud (pepkor logistics) was a brand new environment and was one of the first projects PepkorIT created in google cloud. We used some of the rules that we had in the legacy systems (Oracle - MIS) but a lot of the rules and structures had to be built from scratch as there had better ways of building environments since the legacy systems were created. Working for PepkorIT has been a huge opportunity in my career because I have been exposed to a lot, some of the different systems (PEP, Ackermans, Pepkor Logistics, Refinery........ and a few others).
