My team was selected to participate in entrepreneurship program that supports development of technology startups. Our particular project focused on improving public safety by leveraging the power of community through the use of advanced AI algorithms and innovative features, all incorporated in an appealing mobile app. Throughout the summer, our team worked with an Advisory Board of business and technical mentors as well as Rotman MBA and UTM MMI (Master of Management and Innovation) students to develop a business canvas model, cash-flow runway, minimum viable product (MVP), and undergo rigorous biweekly pitching rounds. Our team then had the opportunity to pitch our startup to a panel of entrepreneurs, investors and mentors on Demo Day. Show less
