Design and development of 3D Simulations used for training and education of new operators on Caterpillar heavy equipment. 3rd party tools used include: Havok Vision Engine, PhysX, Havok Physics, DirectX, SpeedTree, FMod, 3DS Max, and Adobe Photoshop. Main application written in C++ with Visual Studio 2008/2010. Utilities and engine tools utilized C#/C++.Developed dynamic terrain technology that allowed for manipulation and tessellation of models and terrain height maps at runtime in an efficient manner to simulate real world ground interaction with Caterpillar heavy equipment. Had a hand in nearly every aspect of the application including level design, environment creation, physics implementation, animation, language localization, user interface, and data mining/metrics. Worked with Caterpillar trainers to design training scenarios to be implemented into the simulator. Assisted in project planning and timeframes to meet our aggressive milestones.
