Key Functions, Roles & Responsibilities Program Management (60%) ● Lead curriculum and develop education programming material in partnership with Burnsville-Eagan-Savage District 191, including the Burnsville Youth Collaborative (BYC) program. The BYC is an after-school and summer program in partnership with District 191, serving 20-30 students in grades 6-8 from Nicollet Middle School and Eagle Ridge Middle School. This program gives students access to a state-of-the-art performance venue and recording studio where they participate in music making opportunities and music education. ● Lead classroom management and supervision in partnership with District 191. ● Foster a work environment incorporating the values of District 191 and Catalyst. ● Uphold all District 191 and Catalyst classroom policies and procedures. ● Responsible for supporting and co-facilitating Catalyst Music Council (high school age students), Burnsville Youth Collaborative (middle school age students) as well as other youth programs. ● Attend meetings with local elected officials, city council, superintendents and school boards in both Burnsville and St. Paul. ● Maintain relationships with community education partners, attend career fairs, and speak at AVID/STEM classrooms in Dakota and Ramsey counties. ● Develop new program offerings and curriculum materials, centered around workforce development in the music industry. ● Conduct evaluations of programs for program improvement and reporting to funders. ● Work with the booking team to identify a pipeline of talent using the channels above, to book shows at The Garage and The Treasury. Audio Management (40%) ● Manage and oversee all operations of The Garage's Recording Studio. ● Manage studio team and increase studio usage. ● Coordinate video programming and live stream efforts as necessary ● Develop partnerships with local municipalities (Dakota County and others) to utilize studio space. ● Other duties as assigned.
