  I worked as a CIRM Bridges to Stem Cell Research Scholar at Stanford University in the lab of Dr. Julien Sage. My project involves investigating the role of PKA in the oncogenesis of neuroendocrine cancers. I am studying PKA in the context of two different cancers, small cell lung cancer and a pediatric liver cancer known as fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma.   Studying the biochemical evolution of the cellular stress response network in the lab of Dr. Nikolas Nikolaidis. We focus on understanding the role of the HSP70 family as master regulators of cellular survival, immune response, protein homeostasis, and how the misfunction of HSP70s is associated with disease. I have assisted in projects involving protein-ligand interaction, confocal microscopy, and cellular stress response.
